Ever since lockdown was announced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, old shows were being re-telecasted on TV. Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan was one of them. The show quickly became popular and even went on to make a world record of being the most-watched show in the history of maximum viewership. Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhalia and Sunil Lahri who played Ram, Sita and Lakshman’s fandom increased by ten folds that were it was 33 years ago. It wouldn’t be a surprise if we hear that they will be ruling the screens once again. And guess what? Deepika Chikhalia has bagged a Bollywood film.
Talking about the project, it is a biopic on late Indian political activist and poet, Sarojini Naidu. Deepika Chikhalia took to her social handle to share the image of her film. In the poster we can see, Deepika as Sarojini Naidu in a thoughtful expression.
